Half the Battle - 3 - Will of the Forsaken
What's "Half the Battle" you ask? Why is this one number 3? Did I miss anything?
All is well. I've simply noticed that the "One Shots" category, created to hold miscellaneous strips, was getting a bit crowded and I wanted to do some more "educational" content, so I made this new category and stuffed the previous "Learn 2 Play" Hunter and Mage strips into it. The sidebar on the right has also been expanded with the new navigation options.
Let the learning, err, continue!

Maybe it's because I've never played horde but, I simply don't get it...
maybe im a little slow to get the joke,but dous the joke mean:'he was running away scaredly from the ghoul,but he simply forgot to activate will of the forsaken,becouse that de-spells all fear effects'?

Im pretty sure the joke is that he's running away from a "Unholy flesh-eating corpse, risen from the grave" when he is also an "Unholy flesh-eating corpse risen from the grave"...maybe thats just my view though...

The joke is that most people have all these handy skills but when you're in the heat of the moment you can forget to use them so they don't really help...
In this case the guys is running in fear while he can just dispell it...

Sigh, anyway, here's what I found funny.
Funny one: He's running in fear. He's afraid of the ghoul because it's an "unholy, flesh-eating corpse, risen from the grave". He is himself an unholy, flesh-eating corpse risen from the grave (another Forsaken racial is "cannabalism" - flesh-eating...).
Funny two: We get a roleplaying insight into *why* WotF dispells fear effects. But it's hilarious that the undead guy was even afraid to start off with - like he had to remember that he is now Undead and it was awfully silly to be afraid of something just because *it* was Undead (in game terms, he had to proc WotF).
Funny three: The strip. The text. The last frame. rofl.
Funny four: All the comments wondering what's so funny...

As I have played an undead mage for some time now, the ability Will of the Forsken has been a lifesaver a thousand times over...
as for the strip... I laught my a** of, just like all the others have done in the past.

I was a little surprised when I saw all the comments from folks who didn't get it. I guess the joke wasn't as universal as I might have expected. Keep 'em coming.
The realization that you too are an unholy flesh eating corpse IS the racial ability to resist the fear affect. Excellent job putting it into comic form.

This is especially funny to me because as an undead warlock questing in Silverpine/Tirisfal, I'm continually annoyed by the ability of the mobs to resist my Fear.
(Besides the fact that I never manage to remember to use my racials either.)

I just finished reading all yer comics so far. ROFL these are great! i found them on a link in a realm forum and im going to make a link here in my guild forum as well! keep the material comin!
I do believe that it has to do with game to some extent, like that you always forget to activate the ability, or do it too late.
But I also believe that before you activate WotF your character is scared shitless, running like never before. And if I would be scared shitless I wouldn't suddenly be able to resist my enormous fear, turn around and face the thing.
It's all about the big undead ghoulie fearing him and he's running away scared until he remembers to drop his racial WotF.
Hilarious no doubt... Undead FTW!!
