I'm not dead

But I am trying to deal with something potentially even more debilitating in the short term. You see, I got a Mac. The first Mac I've ever owned. Now I just can't bring myself to go back to my pc-based comics creating environment and I don't have all the tools I need on the Mac yet. Namely Photoshop. Man that thing's expensive.

I will resolve this dilemma soon.

You could always try Mac GIMP, then use GIMPshop to make it mildly useable.

NNNNOOOOOO!!!! MAC = teh suck. PC = OMGBBQRoxxorFTW!!!11!!1! I am just kidding, I really don't know what I just said. I think I saw it on "Lost" or something. Anyways, I am all boaut people trying new things before they make a judgement on it. So, I really can't say I don't like MACs, but from what I understand, it is hard to get the same programs to work the way you want them too, especially after coming from a PC. (talk about a run on sentence =P) Anyways, have fun on the MAC and put up some more "guy eating mayonaise" comics =)

I got a used iBook last year, and I just love it. It's pretty intuitive, stable, and stylish. Not to mention unix if you're into that kinda thing. Now with Bootcamp, there's really no reason not to use a mac, besides maybe the price. I'm waiting until they release the powermac duo core duo or whatever they're gonna call it to replace my aging desktop.

Your site is one of the few that I can access at work, please provide me with more entertainment so I can fill up the wasted hours between 8 am and 4 pm.

Thanks for all your efforts so far, love the comics!

Can't wait for more of your comics once you get everything set up on your mac.

You can make your comics on mac or pc with gimp, photoshop, or just draw them with a giant crayon. I'm not picky. I'm just anxious for the next one.

Get that new machine up and get cracking! ;)

Best of luck deciphering the pretty yet inconsistent interface. :)

It is only inconsistent if you're incapable of following logic, Azlana. ^_~

But, yes -- do the legal thing. PhotoshopLE is free with many things, and comes in a Mac version.

I've found Mac's to be pretty unreliable and of poor quality in my experience. Unless you're getting HP or Dell or some other craptacular made PC, a good PC will always outperform a Mac. I also HATE the Mac interface, but that's just my opinion.

As for your problem, your old Photoshop should've come with a CD key that can be used multiple times. Or at least they used to, or maybe Adobe doesn't like that. But try installing photoshop with your old CD key, it should work.

I've used both Macs and Dell computers...and while the older Dells tend to be...problematic, the XPS series is actually second only to a decently customized computer I could build myself.

As for the Macs, I've used everything from the old "toaster oven" model, the Power Mac, the G4, and finally the G5, and they really aren't unreliable and poor quality. Well...maybe the older ones are. The only reason I've had a problem with Macs and switched to PCs is the lack of games to play on them.

But of course, let the ancient PC versus Mac war continue. It never grows old. x.x
